The 2025 British GT Championship kicked off in style last weekend at Donington Park, with dry and favourable weather conditions providing a perfect backdrop for the opening round. The consistent sunshine ensured all sessions ran smoothly, allowing teams to get the most out of their cars across the event.

Car #71, piloted by Ravi Ramyead and Charlie Robertson, delivered a standout performance in qualifying. The duo, who previously competed together in the GT4 Winter Series at circuits including Valencia, Barcelona, and Aragón, showcased their chemistry and pace with a P4 overall and P2 finish in the Pro-Am class.

Meanwhile, Car #14 marked the GT racing debut of Branden Templeton, stepping up from GB4, alongside seasoned racer Chris Salkeld. Despite being a brand-new pairing, the two quickly found their rhythm. Their hard work paid off with a P7 overall in qualifying and P2 in the Silver Cup category.

Race day brought more dry conditions and set the stage for an exciting two-hour showdown. With mandatory pit stops and driver changes, both Ramyead and Robertson, as well as Templeton and Salkeld, spent roughly an hour each behind the wheel. Navigating heavy traffic from the faster GT3 cars, both GT4 entries showed composure and strategic racecraft.

Ramyead and Robertson drove a confident race, securing P2 overall and holding on to their Pro-Am P2 spot. Car #14 also impressed, gaining ground throughout the race to finish P6 overall while clinching a Silver Cup podium with another P2 result.

It was a promising start to the season, with both cars securing class podiums and valuable championship points. The team now shifts focus to Round 2 at Silverstone, where they’ll look to build on this early momentum.
